When you install skype new version on windows 7 system, on minimization of Skype it won’t automatically hide skype from taskbar to tray notification area.Before the previous version of skype, people are used to with hiding it on system tray and love to get notification via that area.
But In Windows 7,skype always remain open on windows 7 taskbar area and consume some amount of space.
If you wan to hide skype from windows 7 please follow mention steps
- First go to Options – >Advanced Settings
- Then, click on Advanced tab to go to Advanced settings.
- Uncheck and untick the Keep Skype in the taskbar while I’m signed in option
Change Compatibility Mode to remove Skype from Taskbar
Go to Icon of Skype and Right-click and Select Properties as shown in below snapshot
Now , Select compatibility tab from Properties window and Set it To Windows Vista SP2 as shown in below image
That’s It. Now there is no more tab on windows 7 task-bar when you get online on Skype. It will automatically hide to System tray.
